Also, call 911 if you have been struck by a vehicle or if your child or dog is in danger, or if you are being treated for an illness. Do not contact firefighters for any reason, but remember to call for medical assistance before you contact any fire department or health care center.
Emergency medical care and transport
In addition to emergency medical transports, you should take special care to provide emergency medical care to your area, especially if you are under the age of 16. Call your nearest fire department/health care center if you have a minor injury or emergency.
What to Do in Your City
Your city should provide emergency services in your area. Emergency evacuation, fire trucks and fire suppression equipment provide the most effective and necessary response to any emergency. Emergency medical assistance is also available if that aid is available to a fire department/care center or hospital. If you live in a city that makes fire regulations, you should use that facility to provide emergency medical care within city limits.
